A
promotional ad for "Skipper" starring Ward Craven which aired
on NBC for three seasons (1961-1963). Craven went on to portray a variety
of minor characters in the movies and television, but would always be
remembered for his role as Skipper. With the success of re-runs, and the
popularity of his California Indian wife Ksen, also his co-star from an
episode, Craven and his wife went on to rack up a series of celebrity
appearances at a variety of fundraisers and county fairs
well up into the 1980s. |
