Ink drawings on handmade paper made from pulped U.S. currency, this series explores pastoral and urban juxtapositions. Nature is within the cosmopolitan in the city park, footpath and pasture give way to pavement. Seemingly Arcadian, the contemporary city park is quickly filled with modern sentiment as aircraft fly towards the city and the innocence of one blue day is marked by the raising of red flags.

These two dozen or so pieces— approximately ten inches wide and eight inches high—are executed on paper pulped from United States currency, reflecting the shredded equity of September 11, 2001.
