Barbed Wire Color Swatches

If Martha Stewart worked out West and put up fences, perhaps she would look at the barbed wire that denotes modern swaths of agricultural and cattle territory the same as the Pantone color swatches she uses to design the homes and furnitures she puts her name on.
Here, artist John Graham follows through for her. He sees the value of the West, defined by barbed wire. What was once rusting is now recast—in the case of a 20 carat coil of barbed wire on a pedestal, it is "The West." Other times, strands of wire are "Orange Julius Sunset Vermillion," or "Mint Chaparrel Easter Tomatillo Green."
